Shanghai Mitsubishi freight elevators: Load capacity up to 10 tons

06-10-2026

In factories, warehouses, logistics centers, and commercial buildings, the demand for transporting goods continues to increase. Therefore, choosing a freight elevator with high quality, stable operation, and a long service life is essential for optimizing operational efficiency. Among the brands trusted in the market, Shanghai Mitsubishi freight elevators stand out for their advanced technology, durability, and reliable performance.

Freight elevators for material handling

One of the key strengths of Shanghai Mitsubishi freight elevators is their flexibility in adapting to different types of buildings and operational requirements. For the LEHY-G series, the design eliminates the pulley room for a 10,000 kg load capacity and optimizes the machine room area, helping reduce construction requirements while saving space and initial investment costs. Meanwhile, the LEHY-L-G series features an improved hoistway structure with a more compact width and depth, making it easier to install in projects with limited available space.

In addition to its design advantages, Shanghai Mitsubishi freight elevators offer a wide range of load capacities and operating speeds. The system can handle loads of up to 10,000 kg at a speed of 0.5 m/s and reach a maximum speed of 1 m/s for load capacities ranging from 2,000 kg to 5,000 kg. This enables businesses to optimize material handling efficiency, shorten goods transfer times, and improve overall operational productivity.

Thanks to its high load capacity and robust construction, the elevator can effectively handle the transportation of forklifts, large cargo pallets, and even be used as a car elevator. This versatility makes the Shanghai Mitsubishi freight elevator an ideal solution for manufacturing plants, logistics centers, warehouses, automated parking facilities, and many other modern industrial projects.

Optimized layout for efficient space utilization

The LEHY-G / LEHY-L-G series uses a PM gearless traction machine with a compact control panel and space-saving layout, minimizing the elevator’s footprint. This significantly reduces design challenges and construction costs while improving the building’s space utilization and minimizing the visual impact of the machine room on the overall architectural aesthetics.

Highly durable freight elevator series

Shanghai Mitsubishi freight elevators are developed with a focus on durable and stable operation in high-intensity working environments. Before being put into service, key components undergo rigorous durability testing to evaluate their ability to operate continuously throughout the product life cycle.

Test results show that critical components maintain high performance and reliability after millions of operating cycles. This demonstrates their manufacturing quality, mechanical durability, and ability to meet the demands of continuous operation in factories, logistics centers, warehouses, and modern industrial facilities. As a result, Shanghai Mitsubishi freight elevators help reduce maintenance costs, minimize downtime, and deliver long-term investment value for businesses.

60-minute door hold-open function

The system supports an Open HOLD function that keeps the landing doors open through the HOLD button or the HOLD status displayed on the landing call panel. Integrated directly into the landing call panel, this function allows users to activate it when transporting goods or carrying out activities that require longer access time than normal.

Shanghai Mitsubishi integrates this function through the EleCare App, allowing building managers to set the door hold-open time according to the project’s actual operational requirements.

The default door hold-open time is 1 minute, but it can be adjusted to up to 60 minutes, accommodating various use cases such as transporting bulky goods, loading and unloading materials, moving equipment, or other specialized operational needs.

Smart freight elevators

Shanghai Mitsubishi elevators can be integrated with automated guided vehicles (AGVs) through an interconnection protocol, enabling precise and rapid coordination.

Note: Shanghai Mitsubishi only provides the AGV integration interface. Customers can purchase AGVs separately from third-party suppliers.

In addition, the brand’s smart freight elevators feature a full-load priority mode, which automatically detects when the load capacity or cabin occupancy exceeds a preset threshold. When activated, the elevator responds only to car calls made from inside the cabin and temporarily ignores landing calls from other floors.

This function optimizes freight transportation efficiency, reduces unnecessary stops, and ensures faster, uninterrupted travel when the elevator is carrying heavy loads.
